Telly: Robin Hood.
Sep. 18th, 2009 01:04 pmSo finished up the second season of Robin Hood last night and Mythie has the first episode of season three kindly waiting for me to watch it when I get a chance so I thought I would babble on about it before I actually watch the season three. I'd actually watched through Netflix a lot of second season that Mythie had recorded but I hadn't seen the last few episodes, and of course even though season three has aired in the UK, it's just now airing on BBC America, and it's one of those things where I was too lazy to try to watch it when it originally aired so I am watching it now.
This is not your Father's Robin Hood, or at least that's what I told R. last night and it's kinda true. Because I think about Disney's version (of course fluffy), and then even the Kevin Costner version, and there's this fluffy sort of 'fairy tale'-esque feeling about the legend. BBC's Robin Hood doesn't have that, and I rather find that I like it.
( We're going to put the rest of this under a cut for the unspoiled because there are major spoilers here through series 2. )
And those are my kinda disjointed thoughts cause as I've been typing this Rudy and Brina-cat have been distracting me quite a bit so it may be somewhat disjointed.
And finally watched last season's finale of House as well. I'm going to miss my Battlestar Galactica, but it isn't as if there is absolutely no television at all that I'm looking forward to right now.
